Child Safety Standards

Last updated: 4 September 2026 Version: 1.0 Applies to: The Vetāsa Matrimony mobile app and all related services operated by LeepleadTech

Our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Vetāsa Matrimony is an adults-only service. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and for any conduct that sexualises, exploits, or endangers a minor.

Reporting a child safety concern

In the app, open the ⋮ menu on any profile, conversation, or message and tap Report. If you cannot use the app, email madhava.kc@gmail.com. You do not need to contact us first — in India you can report directly to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal, the Cyber Crime Helpline on 1930, or Childline on 1098. If a child is in immediate danger, contact emergency services first.

01Our Commitment

Vetāsa Matrimony is an adults-only matrimonial matchmaking service. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Children are not permitted to use Vetāsa Matrimony under any circumstances. Any content, conduct, or account that sexualises, exploits, endangers, or otherwise harms a minor is strictly prohibited, will be removed, and will result in immediate and permanent termination of the account. Where the law requires it, we report to the relevant authorities.

These standards are published publicly and are reviewed at least once every twelve months.

02Definitions

  • Minor / child — any person under the age of 18.
  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) — any visual, written, or audio depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct, or any depiction of a minor's body created or used for the purpose of sexual gratification. This includes real, edited, animated, and AI- or computer-generated material.

Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) — any conduct that sexually abuses, sexually exploits, or endangers a minor. This includes, without limitation:

  • Producing, possessing, soliciting, distributing, advertising, or linking to CSAM.
  • Grooming — building a relationship with a minor in order to sexually abuse or exploit them.
  • Sextortion — threatening to expose a minor's intimate imagery in order to coerce them.
  • Trafficking of minors, or advertising a minor for a sexual purpose.
  • Sexualising a minor, including sexual commentary about a minor, in text, images, or audio.
  • Attempting to arrange or facilitate a child marriage, or an alliance involving any person under 18.
  • Off-platform CSAE conduct that is arranged, advertised, or coordinated using our service.

03Adults-Only Service and Age Assurance

Vetāsa Matrimony is intended solely for adults aged 18 or above who are genuinely seeking a matrimonial alliance.

  • Minimum age of 18. Our Terms of Service require every user to be at least 18 years old. This reflects the minimum legal age of marriage in India and applies to every user regardless of location.
  • Server-side enforcement. Date-of-birth and age data submitted during onboarding is validated on our servers, and any profile that resolves to an age under 18 is rejected. Age is not accepted as a client-side declaration alone.
  • Identity signals. Sign-up requires a verified phone number or a verified federated identity (Google or Apple), which creates an accountable link to each account.
  • Selfie verification. Users may submit a selfie for verification. Submitted selfies are reviewed by trained human moderators, who assess apparent age alongside identity. Verification is refused and the account escalated where a user appears to be a minor.
  • Removal on suspicion. We do not require proof before acting. Where we have a reasonable belief that a user is under 18, we suspend the account immediately and remove the profile from discovery pending review.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that a minor has created an account, we delete the account and its associated data.

04Prohibited Conduct

The following are prohibited on Vetāsa Matrimony and are grounds for immediate, permanent removal:

  1. Uploading, sharing, requesting, describing, or linking to CSAM in any form, including AI-generated or edited imagery.
  2. Sexualising a minor in any profile field, photograph, message, or other content.
  3. Contacting, soliciting, grooming, or attempting to meet a minor for any sexual purpose.
  4. Creating an account while under 18, or creating an account on behalf of a person under 18.
  5. Seeking, proposing, brokering, or facilitating a marriage or alliance involving a person under 18.
  6. Uploading photographs of minors in a sexualised context, or using a minor's image as a profile photograph.
  7. Trafficking, advertising, or offering a minor for any purpose.
  8. Using the service to direct another person to CSAE content or activity hosted elsewhere.

Our Terms of Service incorporate these prohibitions, together with our community guidelines — the Acceptable Use Policy, Prohibited Conduct, and Prohibited Content sections of that document.

05Prevention and Detection

We operate layered controls to prevent CSAE on the platform:

  • Onboarding checks. Profile data, including age, is validated server-side before a profile becomes discoverable.
  • Photograph review. Profile photographs are subject to moderation. Photographs are stored privately and served through short-lived signed links, not as public URLs, which limits redistribution.
  • Message screening. First contact between users is automatically screened for sexually explicit language, contact-detail harvesting, financial-scam indicators, and other high-risk patterns. Messages that trip these checks are held for review rather than delivered.
  • Rate and velocity limits. Per-user limits on profile views, messages, interests, and searches constrain the mass-contact patterns typical of predatory and scam behaviour.
  • Blocking. Any user can block another user at any time. Blocks are bidirectional and immediately remove both parties from each other's discovery, messaging, and profile visibility.
  • Audit logging. Security-relevant events are logged so that abusive activity can be investigated and evidence preserved.
  • Human moderation. Trained moderators review reports, verification submissions, and automated flags. CSAE reports are prioritised above all other report categories.

06Reporting a Child Safety Concern

In the app

Every profile, conversation, and message in Vetāsa Matrimony carries a Report option. Reporting takes only a few taps and does not require the reporter to identify themselves to the reported user.

To report a child safety concern:

  1. Open the profile, conversation, or message in question.
  2. Tap the ⋮ (more) menu, then tap Report.
  3. Select the category that fits — use Underage user if you believe a user is under 18, or Safety concern for suspected grooming, sexualisation of a minor, or CSAM.
  4. Add a description. Screenshots or other evidence may be attached.
  5. Submit.

You can also block the user from the same menu. Blocking and reporting are independent — blocking someone does not withdraw a report.

By email

If you cannot use the in-app flow, or you are not a Vetāsa Matrimony user, report to madhava.kc@gmail.com, which is monitored for child safety reports.

Please include the profile name or link, the approximate date and time, and a description of the concern. Do not attach suspected CSAM to your email; describe it instead, and we will work with the appropriate authority to obtain and preserve evidence lawfully.

To the authorities directly

You do not need to contact us first. In India you may report directly to:

  • National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal — cybercrime.gov.in (has a dedicated "Report Women/Child Related Crime" channel; anonymous reporting supported)
  • Cyber Crime Helpline — 1930
  • Childline India — 1098
  • Local police — 112

Outside India, report to your national law enforcement agency or hotline. Reports may also be made to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or the INHOPE network at inhope.org.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact emergency services first.

07How We Respond

We aim to acknowledge every child safety report within 24 hours and to complete an initial assessment within 72 hours. Reports involving apparent CSAM or an immediate risk to a child are escalated for action immediately on receipt, ahead of the standard queue.

On a confirmed or credibly suspected CSAE report we:

  1. Remove the content from the platform and from all serving paths.
  2. Terminate the account permanently and block re-registration signals associated with it, including the phone number, federated identity, and device.
  3. Preserve evidence — the associated content, account records, and access logs are placed under legal hold and retained for the period required by law, even where the user has requested deletion. Preserved material is access-restricted to the personnel handling the case.
  4. Report to the relevant authorities as set out in Section 8.
  5. Review connected accounts for the same actor or network, and act on them.
  6. Inform the reporter that their report was received and actioned, to the extent the law and the privacy of others permit.

Accounts removed for CSAE are not eligible for appeal or reinstatement.

08Reporting to Authorities and Legal Compliance

We comply with all applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions in which we operate, and we report CSAE to the relevant regional and national authorities.

For India, our primary market, this includes our obligations under:

  • The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO), including the mandatory reporting duty under Sections 19–21.
  • The Information Technology Act, 2000, in particular Section 67B (publishing or transmitting material depicting children in sexually explicit acts).
  • The Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, including the duty to remove CSAM expeditiously on notice and to preserve records for investigation.
  • The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 provisions concerning offences against children.
  • The Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006.
  • The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as it applies to the processing of children's data.

Confirmed CSAE is reported to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) and, where appropriate, to the local police having jurisdiction and to the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR).

Where a report has a nexus to the United States or to a US-based service provider we use, we submit a report to the NCMEC CyberTipline. For users in other jurisdictions we report to the competent national authority or hotline for that jurisdiction.

We respond to lawful requests for information from law enforcement and child protection agencies, and we cooperate with their investigations.

09Our People

  • Personnel with access to user content are subject to confidentiality obligations and access controls, and content access is logged.
  • Moderators handling child safety reports receive guidance on recognising grooming, sexualisation of minors, and apparent-age assessment, and on the escalation path for suspected CSAM.
  • Moderators are instructed not to download, copy, forward, or retain suspected CSAM outside the controlled review and preservation process.
  • Wellbeing support is available to personnel exposed to this material.

10Designated Point of Contact

The following is our designated point of contact for child safety matters, including questions from regulators, platforms, law enforcement, and child protection organisations about our CSAM prevention practices and compliance:

We aim to respond to enquiries from authorities and platform partners within 48 hours.

11Review and Changes

These standards are reviewed at least annually and whenever there is a material change to our service, our moderation practices, or applicable law. The version number and last-updated date at the top of this page reflect the current edition. Material changes will be announced in-app.
